Alumni Spotlight: Hannah Davis

Hannah Davis headshot Graduation Year:  2021

Major:

Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance

Hometown:  Pittsburgh, PA

Why did you choose to attend WVU?

I had a sample lesson with Dr. Hope Koehler and fell in love! The progress that she made with my voice in such a short amount of time amazed me. I also loved the Morgantown area as a whole. It felt like an extension of home for me.

What is your profession now?

I am a full time student pursuing my masters in voice performance at the Peabody Institute at The Johns Hopkins University.

What is your most interesting current/upcoming project?

I will be playing the role of Pamina at this years Hawaii Performing Arts Festival in the summer!

How do you feel WVU and the College of Creative Arts prepared you for your career?

I found my love for performing while attending WVU and if it were not for the voice and opera department giving the students so many opportunities to do so, I would have been very ill prepared for the path that I am on now.

If you could give one piece of advice to incoming or current students in WVU's College of Creative Arts, what would it be?

Trust your professors! Express your desires to them and allow them to guide you there! They truly have your best interest at heart.
