Why did you choose to attend WVU?
I chose to attend WVU as it was the best school for Art History that I could find. My interests have always aligned with art history and I wanted to learn as much as I could. The faculty being amazing was also a great plus.

What do you like about your major and your WVU experience?
I love how flexible the art history major is. At WVU, you can study anything from Mesoamerican archaeology to Baroque art history to modern photography and anything in between. It is so easy to change your path with this major and shift into a different area of emphasis without changing your major.

What advice would you give to prospective students considering attending WVU's College of Creative Arts?
I think that the best piece of advice I have received is to not stress yourself out, go with the flow. Planning everything out at the very beginning won’t always help you- things change, classes fill, and you take opportunities as they come. So, with all these changes, it makes no sense to focus on the end goal when the path is always changing.

Have you recently received any awards or scholarships? Have you recently participated in any competitions, productions, performances or exhibitions?
I have recently been awarded the Margaret Taverner Rajam Art History Endowment which is funding my six week study abroad to Blue Creek, Belize. I am studying with the Maya Research Program to excavate and restore ceramics and other archaeological materials found at the site.

Do you participate in any clubs or organizations?
I am currently the Vice President of the Art History Club, The VP of the Anthropology Club, the Secretary of the Printmaking Club, a Mountaineer Undergraduate Research Review Editorial Review Board member, the VP of The Rack Student Food Pantry, a Presidential Student Ambassador, and a Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Ambassador. I also participate in the WVU Transform This! grant funded mural project in Percival hall.
