Why did you choose to attend WVU?
My decision to attend WVU was in all sincerity one of the best sustainable life decisions I have ever made. I primarily wanted to go here for theatre as my high-school director also attended this school in the design technology program as well. She saw my potential and heavily encouraged me to give the program a chance!

What do you like about your major and your WVU experience?
My focus is nothing I would have expected to have joined from the start as I originally was interested in Technical Direction; however, the more I worked with management, the more fulfilled I felt artistically. I find a lot of joy in discovering and working with online formatting which then transposes into the majority of my practice. Other than long evenings of rehearsals and homework, I have been extremely lucky with getting to meet new people, lifelong friends, and even future coworkers that I will forever hold near to my heart!

What advice would you give to prospective students considering attending WVU's College of Creative Arts?
Of course my opinion may be a little bias, but the creative arts center truly allows for growth as an individual personally and professionally. Do not be afraid to ask an endless amount of questions as this is what you're coming to higher education for. This is your education, your own opportunities, and most importantly, your future. Make good friends and learn to love your work even through all of the lows and highs! It's challenging work, but as long as you are fulfilled as an artistic professional in your field of focus, then that is what matters most.

Have you recently received any awards or scholarships? Have you recently participated in any competitions, productions, performances or exhibitions?
As a Stage Manager, most of my time this past year has been full of preparation, rehearsals, and shows for "Measure for Measure". We closed the show March 26th! Although my main practicum is completed, I do have a list of career filled opportunities to look forward to. Stage Manager, TEDXWVU; Stage Manager, Spring Dance Showcase; Stage Manager, Sherlock: The Final Adventure (West Virginia Public Theatre). I am also deeply invested in film work, so I am currently in the works of working on a non-union film as a Kep Production Assistant in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania!

Do you participate in any clubs or organizations?
I am not a part of any clubs; however, I work as a Box Office employee at the Creative Arts Center and as a student ambassador for audition days and student decision days. Both opportunities continuously allow me to grow as a creative individual in my field as I am able to experience the financial/business side of ticket sales as well as communicating and meeting with upcoming students who are also interested in attending West Virginia University within the Creative Arts Center.
