Why did you choose to attend WVU?
I chose to attend WVU because it feels like a family. Everyone on campus is so welcoming and friendly. I also chose WVU because of all the amazing things they offer. No matter what you like there is always something you will enjoy!
What do you like about your major and your WVU experience?
In the Art Education major there are so many kind students. The staff is also amazing. I have learned so much from each teacher, class, and peer! My classes are so fun and interesting. I love what I am learning about and the people I am learning with!
What advice would you give to prospective students considering attending WVU's College of Creative Arts?
Be active and get involved! WVU is such an amazing and friendly place. You will learn so much and have tons of fun. College is a time to grow and enjoy yourself and at WVU you will! Don't be afraid to ask questions and get outside of your comfort zone. It will change your life!
What do you hope to accomplish as an ambassador of the CCA?
I hope to make students feel more comfortable in this scary transition from high school to college. I want to make them feel confident with their choice and with beginning classes. I also want to be a friend they can reach out to when they have questions or need advice!
Have you recently received any awards or scholarships? Have you recently participated in any competitions or exhibitions?
Last semester, I participated in the portfolio reviews and got awarded a creative arts scholarship. It was such a great experience and I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity. It was awesome to be able to see everyone else's work as well. I look forward to doing more in the future.
Do you participate in any clubs or organizations?
I am an active member in the National Art Education Association. I also am Vice President of Silver Wings.
