Major and Minor: BFA Musical Theatre

Why did you choose to attend WVU?

I chose to attend WVU because of all the opportunities it had to offer. I loved how I could get the experience of a smaller school within a larger school. I get to benefit from the personal and conservatory-like aspects of the College of Creative Arts while also getting to experience school events like football games. WVU is full of school pride!

What do you like about your major and your WVU experience?

I love my major because I not only get to learn about singing, acting, and dancing, but also the backstage aspects of theatre. This past semester I had the opportunity to work as a dresser for one of the plays here and I also constructed the costumes that were then used in the show. It’s so interesting to learn about all of the elements that make up the production of a show. Also, all of the professors in the College of Creative Arts are amazing. I’ve learned so much already and it’s only been one semester!

What advice would you give to prospective students considering attending WVU's College of Creative Arts?

I highly recommend attending WVU if you want to improve your talents while also gaining new skills.
