Student Spotlight: Alexandra Wooten

Name: Alexandra Wooten Student Alexandra Wooten

Class Rank: Junior

Major and Minor: BA Theatre Major, Dance Minor

Why did you choose to attend WVU?

I chose to attend WVU because when I came to tour the School of Theatre and Dance, I already felt like I was welcome. Everyone who I had spoken to seemed like they cared about furthering my education. I was interested in what WVU had to offer. I knew that WVU could fulfill exactly what I was looking for when searching for "the perfect undergrad." Not to mention, Morgantown is a beautiful city in that sweet spot of getting away while staying close to home.

What do you like about your major and your WVU experience?

My major allows me to express the creativity that I've had all along. I love being challenged to work on things outside of my emphasis and comfort zone. As a BA Theatre major, I explore all aspects of theatre. My WVU experience has allowed me to broaden my horizons much further than I expected when I applied three years ago.
