How do you feel WVU and the College of Creative Arts prepared you for your career?

At WVU, I participated in art conferences, and was awarded grants to travel and meet and talk to renowned artists (like Judy Chicago) and curators, and see fabulous exhibitions nationwide. These opportunities gave me real-life professional and networking opportunities that gave me confidence to continue to submit, present and participate in exhibitions, conferences and residencies.

If you could give one piece of advice to incoming or current students in WVU's College of Creative Arts, what would it be?

Take advantage of all the opportunities available - submit, attend, meet, experience. This can be daunting, but the more you put yourself out there, the more opportunities arise.
