Why did you choose to attend WVU? | |
I started my education at WVU in the Horticulture program. I had chosen WVU
because they offered programs that spoke directly to my personal interests.
However, I quickly realized that my love for plants didn't necessarily
translate into a love of horticulture. I saw some amazing student work
coming out of the College of Creative Arts and took a few classes on a
whim. The faculty's passion and expertise were contagious so I
changed majors to the BFA program and never looked back.

What is your profession now? | I work out of my home studio in Morgantown, WV as a full-time printmaker. |
What is your most interesting current/upcoming project? | I am working on a project that will explore AI-generated artwork and its impact on the arts. |
How do you feel WVU and the College of Creative Arts prepared you for your career? | Joe Lupo and the Printmaking program at WVU gave me the solid foundation and direction I needed to achieve my goals. The experience I had in the printmaking program continues to inform the way I run my studio and has given me the expertise and confidence to create and sell my own prints. |
If you could give one piece of advice to incoming or current students in WVU's College of Creative Arts, what would it be? | Be in the studio as much as you can. Keep making art after you graduate. Have fun and work hard. |
