The West Virginia University College of Creative Arts will host an Arts Entrepreneurship Festival on Saturday, Oct. 22.

This multi-faceted event will include performances, exhibitions, lectures and a pitch competition, which students can compete in for $5,000 in prizes.

All WVU students are eligible to participate in the Arts Venture Pitch Competition.

The deadline to enter the pitch competition, is Oct. 1. The live competition finals will be held on Oct. 22 during the Arts Entrepreneurship Festival's finale evening program.

"Participation in the CCA's Arts Venture Pitch Competition is a worthwhile effort for all WVU students,” said Darko Velichkovski, director of the College’s Arts Entrepreneurship Consortium. "Not only because of the prizes, but also as an excellent educational and entrepreneurial challenge and experience for all who participate as competitors - an opportunity to exercise, build and put to practice their entrepreneurial and creative talents and skills."
