2/28 Canady Chamber Music Series: Blue Heron

Blue Heron

The West Virginia University School of Music will host vocal ensemble Blue Heron on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the Creative Arts Center in Morgantown.

Blue Heron is engaged in the exploration of vocal music of the Renaissance and Medieval periods. Putting the study of original sources in the service of persuasive, vivid and exciting concert presentations, the ensemble is now established as the finest of its type in North America. Based in Boston, and led by Scott Metcalfe, Blue Heron offers a home subscription series in Harvard Square, and a catalog of six exceptional recordings is available on the Blue Heron label. Blue Heron is Renaissance vocal music for the 21st century.

The performance is the first of two concerts in the Canady Chamber Music Series. The ensemble will give a pre-concert talk beginning at 7 p.m., followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre. For tickets, visit: http://bit.ly/2EItUWM
