The West Virginia University Symphonic Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 3 at the Creative Arts Center.
Under the direction of Lindsey Williams, interim assistant director of bands, more than 50 student musicians will take the stage for a program that will take audience members on a musical adventure.
Program highlights include “Shortcut Home” by Dana Wilson, “Amazing Grace” arranged by William Himes and “Old Churches” by Michael Colgrass.
The Symphonic Band is open to both music and non-music majors through audition. Band members are from seven states and enrolled in a variety of majors in WVU’s College of Creative Arts, Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, College of Business and Economics and Reed College of Media.
